The recipe for making the drink has been passed down from generation to generation, making it slightly different in every family. People living in hot India raise their body temperature when they drink a warming drink and thus reduce the difference between their body temperature and the temperature of the air around them. In this way, it is easier to endure the oppresive heat. The Masala Chai drink is prepared with the addition of spices and with milk, which softens the taste a bit. Sugar or honey is often added for sweetness. Mary Rose Chai Tea perfectly captures the taste of the Indian drink. Black assam tea is combined here with the characteristic spices: cloves, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and black pepper. As a visual accent, the composition is highlighted by yellow marigold petals. For a real taste of the true Indian tradition, we recommend adding a little milk to the tea. Delicious!

How to prepare Mary Rose Chai Tea?
Pour water at 95°C over 1-2 teaspoons of tea. Allow to infuse for approximately 2-3 minutes. Separate the infusion from the tea grounds afterwards. Only brew the tea once - the tea leaves give off their full flavour and aroma the first time they are infused. We recommend adding milk to the tea, either warm or cold, in a 1:1 proportion.
