Coffee Broastery. Freshly roasted coffee beans, 100% arabica
Uganda, although modest and economically poor, is distinguished by the great diversity in terrain and in the flora and fauna found there. The mountainous terrain of Buikwe district, east of the Ugandan capital, where Coffee Broastery Uganda Kanyenye coffee is produced, is covered with dense tropical forest. The high temperatures, abundant rains and fertile soil are excellent for the quality of the fruit that grows up on the small local coffee plantation. The cultivation fields, located at an altitude of around 1,200 metres above sea level, do not use machinery. Harvested by hand, the coffee cherries undergo "wet’" processing, which involves fermentation over several hours. The beans are then dried in the sun for several days in a humid, decontaminated state. The beans thus prepared for further production are locally referred to as "Wugar" – Washed Uganda Arabica. Finally, after many more stages of their journey, they find their way into the cup, creating a brew of extraordinary flavour and aroma. Uganda Kanyenye coffee is characterised by a pleasant, light flavour, with perceptible notes of fig fruit, walnut and cocoa – a taste delight from the first sip!
Coffee Broastery is not just a black, stimulating beverage. It is passion, love for coffee and the desire to share the good taste with others. Each coffee begins its journey on a plantation, located in a distant corner of the world, where experienced farmers ensure that plants grow in the best possible conditions. They select the right variety of beans, carefully watch their growth and, once the plants are ripe, harvest the fruit with the utmost care. The green beans go to a small, kraft roastery where they are roasted with attention to every detail – after all, coffee roasting is a real art. Finally, the coffee is ready to create a brew with a unique taste and aroma that will surprise even the most particular connoisseurs. This is Coffee Broastery!
