Nustino powdered peanut butter. Time for a healthy treat!
Peanut butter is a snack that many of us cannot imagine functioning without on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the pleasure of eating peanut cream is often accompanied by guilt. No wonder. After all, it is characterised by its high fat content, which translates into high calories. A sensible alternative was hard to come by... until recently! Nustino's skimmed peanut butter powder is a novelty that provides the perfect bridge between what is delicious and what is healthy. Is powdered peanut butter fit? How is it made and what is in it? Let's take a closer look!
Benefits of peanut butter. Is it "fit"?
Regardless of the form – conventional or powdered – peanut butter has many benefits. It contains a high amount of protein, providing an alternative to animal products in the diet of vegans and vegetarians. It also contains valuable fibre, polyphenols, which protect the body from free radicals, and amino acids, which promote muscle mass gain. Peanut butter is also a source of vitamins, especially B vitamins. Although it has a lot of calories, thanks to the presence of unsaturated fatty acids, it allows for better fat burning. Therefore, when consumed in reasonable quantities, it is not fattening and can even help lose weight. Well, it is difficult to consume a reasonable amount of peanut butter when it is so tasty and it is very easy to overdo it.
Nustino's low-calorie peanut butter powder. How is peanut butter made and how many calories does it have?
Conventional peanut butter is made from peanuts that are roasted and then ground to a smooth paste. How many calories does peanut butter have? An average serving of 100 grams of peanut snack is approximately 600 kcal. A large part of the peanut mass is fat (approximately 45-50%), which “glues” the ground nuts together to form peanut butter in paste form. This is followed by protein, fibre, carbohydrates and sugars in the nutritional table. But what if all the fat was removed from peanut butter
This is how Nustino was created – by (almost completely) removing the fat from conventional peanut butter. This was made possible by slow-pressing peanut technology. It allows up to 90% of the fat to be removed. It can therefore be said that Nustino is an alternative version of peanut butter – (almost) fat-free. The end result is a powder that resembles flour by weight. We can consume peanut butter powder both as a powder and as a fluffy cream. How to do it? Simply mix the powder with a little amount of water or other liquid (in a 1:1 ratio) and you will have a fluffy cream with excellent qualities and versatile culinary uses. Powdered peanut butter, when mixed with water and made into a fluffy cream, has even more nutritional benefits! We can use it to make sandwiches, but also add it to oatmeal, cakes, create a protein shake or fry up fit pancakes, but we will get to the kitchen inspiration later in the article. For now, let us focus on the product itself.
Composition and nutritional values of Nustino peanut butter powder
Nustino stands out from the competition for its extraordinary nutritional qualities. Just look at the label. Thanks to the removal of fat, almost half of the product is plant-based protein. It is for this reason that, right from the start, Nustino has been hugely popular with sports people. Gym goers seem to be particularly interested. No wonder. Nustino is a great base for natural protein shakes. It is also worth having a closer look at the fat content. As a result of the slow pressing of the peanuts, there is p to 90% less fat, and the whole thing takes the form of a powder. Another interesting point is fibre. As you may know, the body does not digest it. It is considered an important dietary ingredient because it has a positive effect on intestinal function and makes the body absorb less cholesterol, among other things. This, in turn, is directly related to the prevention of heart attacks and other cardiovascular diseases. One pack of Nustino Pure contains a total of 28 grams of fibre. This is more than twice the amount required by EU guidelines! It is assumed that a product high in fibre must have at least 6 grams of fibre per 100 grams of pure product. To further illustrate the benefits of peanut butter powder, we have compared its nutritional values – calories, fat, protein, carbohydrates and more – with the average nutritional values of conventional peanut butters in a table. See for yourself how well Nustino compares!

How to choose a good peanut butter?
We already know how conventional peanut butter and its alternative version – in powdered form – are made. But how to choose a good product? The best and most nutritious peanut butter is one that has 100% nuts in it – without palm oil or other harmful ingredients. When it comes to powdered peanut butter, it is worth paying attention to its aroma, that should be intense and strongly nutty, already perceptible from a distance from the packaging, and the flavour additives should harmonise with the nut aroma. If powdered peanut butter smells of old, dusty nuts, it is a sign that it is not worth the money spent. Grinding is also important – a good quality peanut butter powder is one that is ground very finely and has a texture like silky flour. When a little water is added to the powder, it initially repels it and behaves hydrophobically. It is possible to obtain a fluffy cream by intensely mixing the right amount of liquid with the nut powder. The last characteristic of good quality peanut butter is the additives. Some people prefer classic peanut butter, consisting of 100% nuts, but there are also those who like the addition of salt, sugar or flavourings. It is important that all additives are all-natural and that the composition on the packaging is complete and clear. And how does Nustino peanut butter powder compare? Let's take a closer look at its variations.
Nustino peanut butter powder. Find your favourite flavour!
Each of Nustino's peanut butter variations has a 100% natural composition – without harmful trans fat. Exclusively ground and powdered peanuts, combined with the addition of natural, freeze-dried fruit, a little salt and sugar. The producer of Nustino has ensured a wide variety of products on offer. As many as 7 flavour variations of skimmed peanut butter powder are available. All are based on completely natural additives. The pronounced fruity flavour is achieved without flavourings or other artificial elements. Nustino Sweet Strawberry and Nustino Wild Banana are excellent examples of this. The variations are based on the addition of freeze-dried (lyophilized) fruit. The process allows the most valuable nutritional qualities to be preserved. It can be said that the essence of the best of the fruit has been obtained. When combined with peanut butter powder, we get an extremely appetising product! Nustino Rich Chocolate and Nustino Lush Cinnamon are no different. This time, the excellent taste has been achieved thanks to the addition of natural cocoa and cinnamon. Nustino Crazy Coconut, on the other hand, contains coconut shavings in addition to powdered peanut butter. The table is rounded off by two slightly more conventional items in the form of Nustino Classic One with added salt and sugar and Nustino Pure. The latter consists solely of skimmed peanut butter powder without any additives. Our online shop has all types of Nustino on offer. Which one will you decide on?

Vegan power balls with Nustino and dates
What do you need to make about 16 pralines?
- 1 cup powdered peanut butter Nustino Pure
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup dried dates
- 1 tbsp oil (e.g. coconut oil)
- 2 tbsp coconut shavings
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
- Pour hot water over the dates and set aside for about half an hour.
- Blend the oatmeal and pour into a separate bowl.
- Once the dates puff up, blend them to a smooth paste.
- Pour a cup of Nustino peanut butter powder into the blended dates and add a tablespoon of oil.
- Stir the ingredients thoroughly, gradually adding the oatmeal to the mixture.
- When the mixture becomes clear and malleable and does not stick to your hands, place it in the fridge to chill for about 15 minutes.
- Once you've taken the mixture out of the fridge, it's time to shape the pralines. This is best done with wet hands. We used 1 tablespoon of the paste to prepare each one.
- Once the balls are formed, coat them with coconut shavings. If they don't stick to the whole thing, moisten them with a little water beforehand.
- Set the balls aside to chill in the fridge for at least half an hour. After this time you can enjoy them!
